Using calendars for resource allocation

I need to be able to use three different types of calendars in one big
"master" schedule. The calendars will be for shared tools such as forklifts,
manlifts, weights, etc. The second calendar will be for facilities - showing
when each facility is available to complete maintenance, and the third
calendar will be for crews or individual people. I have three different
"resource managers" who will maintain each calendar. I want to be able to
maintain each calendar separately. A new master schedule will be produced
each week and then the calendars need to be brought in to make sure I am not
over allocating in each resource area. Any ideas?

One possible course of action would be:

1. Your Project Server administrator should create the three calendars
initially in the Enterprise Global file.
2. He/she should assign the correct calendar to every resource in the
Enterprise Resource Pool.
3. He/she should add the three PM's to the Administrators group which gives
them permission to edit the calendars.

Do know, however, that you cannot limit each PM to being able to edit only
one calendar. Just a thought. Hope this helps.
