Using clipboard I get the message"item not collected"

Using Windows XP and Office 2003. All of a sudden my clipboard stopped
working at boot up this morning. It's empty, but when I try and copy
something to the clipboard I get the error message "item not collected".

Anyone know how to fix this?

Hi Dave,
Try following:
Start
Control panel
Internet options
Security tap
Custom level button
In the scripting selections scroll to
"Allow paste operations via script" and check "Enable"
OK all windows and exit.
