Current System: Exchange 2000 Servers, and WinXP/Outllook 2003 for Desktops.
Being a Desktop, (not laptop), the Cached mode is 'unchecked' or disabled,
but 'Download OAB' in Send Receive settings is checked. This is causing grief
esp at sites which have small bandwith.
We were thinking of creating a CMW, and use MaintWiz to uncheck the
Send/Receive Settings for 'Download OAB'. For testing the script we ran
Maintwiz and then opened Outlook and checked the settings. There was no
change recorded, i.e. Download OAB was still checked.
Does anybody have an idea if this cmw method of correcting this setting
really works?.
Is there a reg setting we could deploy to reflect that change as a workaround?
If CMW does not work for changing the Send/recive settings in general, how
do we effect Outlook changes for different types of configurations?.
