Using Contacts for segmented contact management

N

I'm trying to figure out if it makes sense to use Outlook Contacts to
manage the contacts and e-mail lists for a non-profit I'm helping out.
They have hundreds of contacts that fit into a variety of audience
types and they would like to do the following:

* Manage all the contacts for the organization in one place
* Send out segmented e-mail communications to separate audiences
* Import/export the segmented contact lists into Constant Contact for
e-mail marketing
* Import existing and detailed excel-based data into Contacts for a
specific audience

Any insight you could give would be most helpful.

they could use categories but an access database might make more sense,
especially if the list is larger.
