I have inherited a project that uses a Field on a .dot file to place
value when a Java front end runs an application that writes to the .do
and creates a .doc. However, I have found that when I create the .do
and use variable that are specified in the Java app, the .dot i
immediately populated with default values and I don't know where thes
come from - Java also complains about these values. I would like t
konw the correct procedure for creating the fields I need. Currently
use Insert Field then select Docvariable followed by variable name
Have I missed out any step to avoid the default values appearing? Th
answer may be in the Java files but I am not sure that I have create
the fields and named the variables correctly.
Thanks
