Using Excel between Mac OS X and MS XP.

I have just connected my Mac OS X 10.4.7 running Excel for Mac in my
office on the 2nd floor to my PC XP in the basement, using MS Excel. I
can send Excel worksheets from the PC to the Mac in My Documents, which
can be opened on the Mac. I can't edit or send Excel from the Mac to
the PC. I assume it has to do with what to "save as" ? but after trying
many combinations and running up and down two flights of stairs 10-15
times a day to see if my Excel file finally registers on the PC I am
about to give up. Any sugestions.

Internet works well on both computers.

Have you insured both computer accounts have read and write privileges in
the appropriate directories? I do this all the time and it works fine.

Pardon the obvious question, but have you enabled File Sharing on the Mac
(System Prefs>Sharing - Services)?
