Hello,
I am creating a large technical report in Word 3000. Much of the data is in
the form of graphs created in Excel 300 which contain a great amount of data.
I Copy the charts to the clipboard, then Paste Special into Excel. The
options are to paste as an Enhanced Metafile (picture) or MS Excel Chart
object. I choose the EMF option assuming a smaller file size.
So far, I only added a few charts and it has increased the size of the Word
file tremedously. I researched in ways to compress or convert these charts
into a smaller format without success.
Also, I don't think the embedded EMF chart is truly an image file. I can
edit it in the Word document e.g. I can change text around, etc. Nor is
there any way to view details of the embedded EMF like file size, format,
etc.
Any advise would be appreciated. At the rate my document is increasing,
soon I'll need a mainframe to create it.
Thank you
