Using Excel in an Access Form for entering data

I created a form in Access that requires a simple spreadsheet that allows
data entry to the Excel object I have inserted into the form. It's simply 4
rows of name, date, hours and a total at the end of the 3rd column. The
object looks perfect but I can't type in the Excel portion of the form. How
do I maintain the link, allow users to enter data and retain the data when I
review the form?

Hi Joseph, you are so right! This is really not what I want to do but I have
a memo field for comments and when the form prints out and goes out in the
field with the tech, he needs a space to write comments. All I really need
to do is find out how to create a memo field that is filled with lines. I
tried special effects but could not find the way to create a field with 5
lines within the field for handwritten comments that will be entered once the
service call is returned to the office. Suggestions??

Thank you for your reply.

Joseph,

it seems as though your suggestion is a report because it is not possible
for a memo field to contain lines in the form, is that accurate?

Joseph, thanks. I went into form design and drew lines in over the comment
memo field so that when it prints the record the lines appear but when I
enter data into the form the lines end up behind the field. I guess that
will work but one would think that Access would allow you to add that as a
special effect. Appreciate your help.
