Using Find/Replace with User Information

G

Gopher

I need to be able to get an address from Word's User Information and
replace carriage returns with wingding symbols. Whenever I try to do
this, I get 2 garbage characters. For the life of me I can't figure
out what they are. They aren't CHR 10 and/or 13.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Jean,
here you are in the middle of history of text processing,
it seems, as my macro recorder tells me, returns in
Application.UserAddress are coded as Chr(13) & Chr(10).
To avoid complications, I would suggest to put
Application.UserAddress into a string,
remove chr(10), paste the string and replace chr(13)
after pasting. If you need help on removing chr(10)
from the string, let us now.
Besides that, what would replacing chr(13) by any
wingdings character be good for?
