using forms to enter data

hi,

how can i skip some fields without having to press enter
to return to the top to add a new record. i have 10 fields
to fill, but really only 5 are required (would have to
enter 5 times to enter a record.

If you're using the built-in Access menus, recent versions (I'm not sure in
exactly which version this feature was introduced) have a keyboard shortcut,
Ctrl++ (e.i. hold down the Ctrl key while pressing the + key).

Alternatively, you can use the Control Wizard to add a 'New Record' command
button to the form. If you precede one of the characters in the command
button's caption with an ampersand (&) that character will function as a
shortcut key. For example, if you give the button the caption &New Record,
you can press and hold the Alt key while pressing the N key to go to the new
record.
