I have several short duration tasks that are linked together but also linked to longer duration tasks that are also linked together. This is creating free slack on the shorter duration tasks. I would like to use the free slack on the shorter duration tasks to make them finish the day before the longer duration tasks they are linked to start. The use of the As Late As Possible constraint does not work since it delays all the tasks in a string to use their free slack and makes everything critical. Is there a way to have a single task, in this case the shorter duration task, use its free slack without making the entire string of tasks use their free slack?
