Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel Email Client: imap My work email is a pop account only. I added gmail as a personal acct and have used entourage for abt 5 years. Since i access gmail from various computers and my iphone I was told iMap was the better way to go.
The problem is that on my left navigation iMap appears way down at the bottom beneath all my other directories so it makes it clunky to use.
About a month ago I learned to switch gmail to POP so all my email appeared together - it was wonderful - except when I accessed email from one computer it seemed to be unavailable to see again - even when I left msgs on server and held for 30 days - I couldn't figure it out.
So I've switched back to iMap and have to scroll down to see it - I can't figure out how to raise the directory so it isn't all the way down.
IF I keep gmail as pop - is there a way to ensure it won't make an email unavailable (I've tried going online and marking as unread at that level but it's basically gone once I access it from one computer - and not consistently but often enough to freak me out.
IF I must use iMap to ensure i don't have this problem is there a way to control the folders so I can raise it up to where I can see it?
I woke up thinking of Diane and all her excellent answers - I searched but couldn't find.
thanks so much,
enzo
