Using GPO to push out Office 2003 + SP2

B

Bill Bradley

I don't think that this can be done, but, I have created a linked
installation for the Office 2003 Select/Enterprise CD that uses a batch file
to run Setup.exe /qb-! /settings setup.ini, three transforms, and the
OHotFix.exe file to install the Suite + FrontPage + OneNote + SP2.

I'm using ZENWorks to push this out, but, have many computers without
Novell, and, I was wondering if I can get this to push out via a GPO in ADS?

Problem is, I don't see a way to use Setup.exe and Setup.ini...

Any way to make this work?

Thanks.

You would have to use a ZAP and you can only publish the software install in
the user portion of the GPO. (Meaning users would have to go to the
add/remove applet to install via the programs available from the network
section.)

Computer based software installs in GPOs can only use MSI/MST files.
