Using group resources (person hours)

I would like to use a resource pool of hours for each group to show over or
under staffing. How do I use person hours in MS project? ex: If I have a
group of 4 people that gives me 32 man(person) hours for one day. How do I
define this as a resource management tool as well as a project management
tool?
