Using Groups Instead Of Individuals Timesheet Reporting

I have a client who would like use teams as assigned resources on tasks and
be able to enter time that may be in excess of 40 hrs per week. Is there
anyway to configure project pro to allow more than 40 hours to be entered on
a task and the system not calculate it as an individual resource working more
than 40 hrs per week?

I'm not sure I understand what you're asking. I don't think anyone else does
either because nobody has jumped on this one yet. Perhaps you could clarify?

Apologizes for not being clear.

My understanding is that if an individual resource enters more than 40 hrs
per week, project professional will consider that overtime. I have a client
that wants to enter the following information on a task:

Team A worked and enterd 80 hrs on Task 1 during week 1

Team B worked and entered 70 hrs on Task 1 during week 1

Team C worked and entered 60 hrs on Task 1 during week 1

Total hrs will be 210 for three resources during that week. How will project
calculate the percentage complete for that Task?

Mike:

First of all, Project doesn't assume any time entered is overtime unless it
has been entered as such. So if you're not exposing the overtime fields in
the timesheet in PWA or entering it through Resource usage, then it will get
booked as regular time.

The second question can't be answered without knowing more about the task.
For instance, if it were a fixed work task and each "Team" was an
individual, and the tasks was scheduled for 210 hours of fixed work, Project
would calculate the percentage complete as 100%.
