Using Headings in New List Style in Word 2007

O

ourari

I would like to have a customized list style like this:

1 Heading 1
1.1. Heading 2
1.1.1. Heading 3
1.1.1.1. Heading 4
Definition 1-1 Definition 1
Lemma 1-1 Lemma 1

I used to be able to do so in previous versions, but in word 2007, when I try
to create a new list style, I could not find any way to include Heading 1 in
the list.

Ideally, i would like to change the current list style in the library (which
includes heading), and customize it, but it's not possible to change the list
styles in the library either. Has anyone done this ? Please help!

In the Define New List Style dialog box (or the Modify Style dialog box for
an existing list style), click Format, and then click Numbering; Word will
display the multilevel list dialog box. If necessary, click the More button
to see the whole dialog box. Use "Link level to style" to associate a
paragraph style to the selected numbering level.

Note that in order to modify an existing list style, you can right-click its
icon at Home tab | Multilevel List. Alternatively, make use of the Manage
Styles dialog box (in the Styles pane, click the Manage Styles button),
which gives you access to all styles in Word.
