Using Hotmail in Outlook

Hello, I can only send messages via Hotmail, but not from any of the other
accounts I have also set up in Outlook. This happens even though I have not
specified Hotmail as the default, and even when I specify another account to
send from. Please help! Many thanks.

What happens when you try? What version of Outlook are you using?

Hello, I am using Outlook 2003. When I compose and send a new message in
Outlook, I go to the 'Accounts' tab and click on my non-Hotmail IMAP account
as the one I want the message to go from. A message appears saying that this
will happen. But when I have sent my email, I go to my 'Sent Items' folder
and it says the email went from my Hotmail account. Replies also come to my
Hotmail Inbox or Junk E-Mail, meaning I sometimes miss important messages.

It's possible your IMAP account is not working properly. Outlook has been
known to send from another account if the one you try to send through isn't
working. You may try removing and re-adding the IMAP account or creating a
new mail profile via Control Panel | Mail | Show Profiles.
