Using import element in infopath

Hi,

I came across an issue when i was working on infopath forms.
I created a form from an external schema.

In the schema i had to use xml:space attribute and for that i had to use
import element which would import the specified namespace.

But when i tried to incorporate that schema in infopath it gave me an error
saying

'The xml schema is invalid or contains a structure that infopath doesnot
support.
Element 'import' is not allowed in this context.'

Can anyone tell me how to use the attribute xml:space in infopath and
whether or not import element works in infopath
