Using Links in Documents

I am working on an office handbook that I would like to
have links to word and excel forms that reside on other
drive on our office network. I have tried using
hyperlinks, but the links don't work when I close the
file and open it again. I have also tried insert object,
but the icon is so huge, it looks funny on the page. I
liked the looks of the hyperlink.

How can I get this to work??????

A hyperlink is probably the best idea, but getting it to stay correct can be
a bear. You could also try Insert | File | Insert as Link, which would
display the content in your document but not store it there.
