Using MSP 2002 files in Project Server 2007

I'm planning on using MS Project Server 2007 to consolidate very simple data
from projects: task duration, % completed, human resources allocated, hrs
allocated per task.

I'm going to define the projects and their attributes (to be used for
reporting and analysis) directly through Project Server 200, and I'm planning
to update the task/resources data via MSP files.

The catch, as you might have guessed, is that all of the Project Managers
use MSP 2002 and upgrading to MSP Pro 2007 is moot (licensing and approval
upgrade cycle are just out of the question).

I'm not thinking on posting from MSP 2002 to the server; rather, I'm trying
to find out if it's feasible to upgrade the (server) projects' task/resources
data using the MSP 2002 files... and ideally keeping the projects previously
defined attributes.

Thanks in advance for your kind reply.

I do not see how that is possible without going through Project Professional
2007 and saving as an earlier version. But if you are going through Project
Pro 2007 anyway, why bother going to 2002?

The answer is you need at least one copy of Project Pro 2007. Sorry.

In that case, is there a massive/multiple file "Save As" or conversion
alternative, before posting the data?
