Using my laptop when travelling but cannot send out emails

I travel a lot and take my laptop. I need to send emails (using outlook)
from various locations: hotels, internet cafes, etc. At some hotels I can
send out emails in Outlook but not many. Also when using an ethernet
connection at internet cafes I can nevert send my emails in Outlook only
recieve them. Trying to find out what kind of equipment they (in the hotels
or cafes )have is usually difficult.

Any suggestions

You need to set your mail to authenticate to the server when sending. Most ISPs prohibit people not logged onto their network from sending mail (spam).

outllook traveller,
Check with the isp/mail service for that acct, and see if there is a setting
for travelers, vacationers, or businessmen. Usually its a different Port
Setting for the STMP server, than the standard port: "25".

Any suggestions

If your ISP doesn't do authenticated SMTP, get yourself a googlemail
account, which does. That way, you can send via Google's smtp server
regardless of which network you are currently on.
