Using Office 2008 for mac

How does one successfully create and print envelopes for a selection of names
on an excel sheet? I was unsuccessful using the instructions provided on
mactopia, which used word as the data source. I need to be able to print
envelopes for a mailing list, but not always the entire list. Help!
