Using Office Online will not work

I just Uninstalled Office 2000 and Installed Office 2003. The firt thing I
tried in WORD 2003 is: Connect to Office Online. Instead of going out to the
web, it opens a text editor and gives the error:
C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application
Date\Microsoft\Templates\http:\r.office.microsoft.com\r\hlidOfficeHomeFromClientWithLogging contains an invalid path

This happens with all the Online Office choices (Get the latest news, etc.)
I have reset Normal.dot.
