Using Office XP with Windows Vista

I just bought a new computer with Vista Home Premium OS. I have Office XP
standard which I love and used previously. Are they compatible, or can I make
the Office XP compatible. I hate Office 2007

Office XP was not tested on Windows Vista since it was out of mainstream
support during the Vista development cycle. Only Office 2003 and 2007 are
fully compatible with Windows Vista.

I would personally recommend Office 2003 for use with Vista, for those
people who can't stand the ribbon. What Milly says about 2002. Office 2003
on the other hand is tested in lesliea's configuration and the interface is
not radically different from Office 2002. I used to work for Microsoft
development in Redmond and configurations which are not tested are almost
guaranteed not to work.
