using one form to display two records

I was wondering how you would go about displaying two
records on one form. I would like to have two command
buttons that would allow me to look up a number and
display all the other fields in the record. The problem
that I have right now is that I have a new and old column
and I would like to display the new record as well as the
old record. I have a look up record command button and
when I use that to look up the new record, it finds it and
then enters in the rest of the information to the record
in both columns. Is there a way to search just one part
of the form and enter in the results in one column and
have another column search just that area and enter the
results in?
