Using Outlook 2003 inside and outside a NATed network

We use an SBS 2003 Exchange server. I have about 10 laptop users who work
in the building where our address scheme is 192.168.x.x. Outside the
building we have a statically mapped public IP address mapped to the SBS
Exchange server. The public address is (similar to) 134.205.123.235. We
also have a firewall which needs the proper ports open to allow Outlook
2003 (all clients will be 2003) to connect to the SBS 2003 Exchange server.

We cannot use Outlook Web Access due to user issues, so we must use the
Outlook 2003 client for this.

Here is the main question. Users are configured to connect internally on
the 192.168.x.x network. This works just fine. When users move their
machines outside our network, the address that Outlook must use to find the
Exchange server will be different (the public IP address). How can I
configure Outlook 2003 to connect to the Exchange server from inside and
outside our building without the user having to make any changes?

Either use VPN or RPC over HTTP (recommended).

For more support continue in an Exchange or SBS newsgroup
