I have Outlook installed on my personal PC in IMO mode. Is it possible to
access my Outlook Mailbox on my organization's Exchange server? I know that
its possible to setup Outlook to access hotmail, aol, etc. but uncertain if
it can be setup for an Exchange mailbox.

Assuming that you are running Microsoft Outlook 98 or 2000 since you mention
"IMO" mode, then the site would have to offer POP3 or IMAP access thru their
firewall. (ideally you would want IMAP since this would ensure that all
mail is left on server and you don't have an empty Inbox when you return to
work.)

If you are running Microsoft Outlook 2003 or 2007 on WinXP SP2 or newer
operating system and the site is running Exchange 2003 or 2007, I would ask
the corporate IT network gods if they support RPC over HTTPS (or what it is
called now, Outlook Anywhere). This gives you the full Outlook experience
while connecting to the Exchange server via an HTTPS connection.
