Using Page Numbers

When I activate Page Numbers besides showing the page number, brackets appear
at each corner of the page indicating where the copy area is. How do I hide
or delete these brackets?

Which version of Word? Those corner-markers are normally associated
with Chinese/Japanese/Korean capability being installed.
