Sirs,

We're intending to use Project Professional 2002 integrated to MS Office
Project Server 2003. However, we have some issues:
- Project Professional 2002 and MS Office Project Server 2003 are 100%
compatible?
- What disadvantages do we have using Project Pro 2002 instead of using
Project Pro 2003.
- Is there any article or guide in the Internet or Microsoft sites that
could support our analysis and our final choice?

Thank you very much for any help.

hi Pedro Caetano Barros,

Project 2002 is compatible with Project Server 2003 but not 100%.
Project Professional 2002 users who are allowed to connect to Project Server
2003 can use only the features that are included in Project Professional
2002. New features that are included in Project 2003 are not available to the
Project Professional 2002 users. The Project 2003 features that are not
available to Project Professional 2002 users who are allowed to connect to
Project Server 2003 include the following:
• The Risks command on the Collaborate menu.
• The Save command in the Save to Project Server dialog box when you save an
administrative project.
• The Delete command in the Open from Microsoft Project Server dialog box.
• Managed timesheet options and Actual Work Protected options.
• Enterprise Resource Multi-Value Outline Codes in project plans.
• The proposal of resources to project assignments.

For more information about how to connect to Project Server 2003 by using
Project Professional 2002, see the "Connect to Project Server using Microsoft
Project 2002" topic in the Microsoft Project Server 2003 Administrator's
Guide. To obtain the Microsoft Project Server 2003 Administrator's Guide,
