Sirs,

We're intending to use Project Professional 2002 integrated to MS Office
Project Server 2003. However, we have some issues:
- Project Professional 2002 and MS Office Project Server 2003 are 100%
compatible?
- What disadvantages do we have using Project Pro 2002 instead of using
Project Pro 2003.
- Is there any article or guide in the Internet or Microsoft sites that
could support our analysis and our final choice?

Thank you very much for any help.

Hi Pedro,

I just installed Project Pro 2002 in my test lab and it appears to work
fine with a slight modification in the Global Permissions for the
Project Manager group in Project Server 2003

You will need to make the following change:

1. Log into PWA as Administrator.
2. Click Admin --> Manage users and groups --> Groups.
3. Select the Project Managers group and click Modify Group.
4. Under Global Permissions, scroll down to "Connect to Project Server
using Microsoft Project 2002" and select the "Allow" checkbox and then
click Save Changes.

An interesting side note...
The Administrators group will not need to make these changes as they are
able to connect to Project Server 2003 with Project Pro 2002 by default
Interesting eh????

Good Luck
