Hello,
I design ads in Pub then save them in Acrobat 6.0 for printing in local
newspapers. The papers always tell me how many problems they have with my
files - I think because the way Pub makes transparent photos in Acrobat and
that in saves in RGB in the pdf format (even thought I create in CMYK). Now
I am creating ads with white text on dark backgrounds. The text is muddy and
unclear - regardless of the size. The paper suggests that it is a problem
with the type of CMYK color I am choosing. Can anyone (1) tell me if there
is any way to get the .pdfs in CMYK (have tried changing the settings it just
completely locks up) and (2) can you recommend a source that tells me how to
select colors and or prepare pdfs from Pub that stand the best chance of a
good looking ad?
Thanks very much for your help.
