Using registry to modify profile information - new back end settin

booker@mgt

I have a new backend server and I am trying to change my existing profile
with the new backend server settings. I have tried just about every angle
using the PRF method, and the CMW method, but no luck

I then setup the new back end settings within outlook, duplicated the
current existing profile name on another comptuer and exported the registry
file that was created.

I edited that registry file to replace my username with the echo %username%
option wherever my username was referenced as a cn= setting

When I import that registry key onto a new computer, I get the following
error when I first try to start outlook:

Unable to open your default email folders. The information store could no
be opened.
I hit OK and outlook closes

If I try to pen a second time (this time putting the profile on cached
mode), the error box that pops up says:

Cannot start Microsoft Outlook. Unable to open the Outlook window. The set
of folders could not be opened.

Now I noticedthat by importing the registry key, none of the old keys are
deleted.

What could be playing a role to cause the erros above? Again, if you look
at the profile itself, it has all of the correct server and RPC over http
settings.

Any ideas.

Thanks

I was hoping that by importing the registry keys into the registry that it
would allow Outlook to open
