Using System Colors in WindowsXP

I'm trying to use the system colors for my form elements
but am having some different result when the app is run
on an XP machine using the default appearance. I'm
trying to use the same color as the application dialog
boxes (typically a shade of gray). On all other versions
of windows it shows properly but on XP it come up with a
different color. Any thoughts or ideas?

I was using the wrong color element. I should have been
referencing the "3D Face" color. This corrected it.
