Using Task Scheduler to fire doc with macro?

Would it work to create a document with a macro that fires off when the
document opens, then use the Windows Task Scheduler to open that document at
a certain time, to run the macro at a specified time? Or is there an easier
way?

G'day "Ed" <[email protected]>,

That sounds about right to me if you need a huge delay of minutes or
more.

Thanks for the reply. I have a routine that takes slightly more than 2
hours to complete. If I can get my Task Scheduler to start this for me
after I leave work, I'm not wasting time watching documents fly past my
screen.

Sounds pretty damn sensible to me. I often manually implemented
similar approaches - ie kick off a long macro before leaving for the
day and come back next morn to find it finished.
