Using text boxes in Word newsletter template

The template I'm using for my newsletter has 2 text boxes side-by-side. I
have broken the "link" for the 2 boxes and want to delete box #2 and make box
#1 larger (to the right margin) for a large 1-column piece. I can't seem to
accomplish this. I need help quickly as my newsletter is due to go out soon!
