Using the Assignment Details Screen to Update HOurs WOrked

This is our first attempt at using Project Server 2007 after having completed
our training.



We have configured the environment and are now attempting to put in
timesheets to track progress. We are tacking progress using the hours of
work done per week method. We are trying to enter actuals in the Assignment
Details timesheet. When we go into the screen, the week grid is there,
however, we are unable to enter any hours into the Actual Hours field. I’m
not sure what we’ve done wrong, but obviously I’ve missed something since we
can only enter time via the timesheet screen, not the Assignment Details
screen. Any help would be appreciated.

Have you checked the option "Time entry by Timesheet only. Users will sync
to update tasks".

This setting is in server settings/task settings and display.

you probably have the option 'Time entry by Timesheet only. Users will sync
to update tasks. ' activated. You can find this under server settings/task
settings and display.
In this case you can only import the timesheets on the tasks.
