Ok, this one is driving my wife and daughter nuts. We have a laptop with
Office 2000 installed. Previously, they said that when using Word, if you
highlite a word or sentence that you want to delete, you could use the
"backspace" key and all of the selected text would be deleted. Now for some
crazy reason, the backspace key will only jump to the beginning of the
selected text and do nothing. It will delete the text one letter at a time,
but no longer "all" of the selected text. I checked all of the options I
could find and saw nothing related to this function. We also have Offce 97
on another pc, and the backspace key does indeed delete the entire selected
text. On a 3rd pc we have Open Office installed and even on that program
the backspace key will delete entire selected text. Has anyone else heard
of this before? Any suggestions? Thanks.
