Using the Down Arrow on the Keyboard to find items in a combo box

I have been trying to get the keyboard down arrow key working as an option to
scroll through a drop down list in a combo box without success.

Does anyone know how I can turn this feature on? I know it works in office
products, but I can't figure out how to do it.

You have to set the focus to the control first. Then it
works for me.
