Using the formula for sum

creating a form that has to and from drop down date boxes, management would
like to add one more line for total number of days, can this be calculated
using info Path form, I see the option to use sum, and I selected date, but
nothing happens when the form is filled out. I was unable to locate how to
use the formula feature, if anything could someone direct me to that
location. Thanks

InfoPath 2007 has built-in date functions. In InfoPath 2003 you'll have to
use code to calculate the difference between dates. See the date/time
