Using the touchpad ona laptop to write

Is there anyway that OneNote could be used with a synatics touchPad to write
down rather than typing

But synatics gives you a piece of software so you can do digital signature so
why could this not be incorperated into onenote.
but how come writing on a screen makes it digital ink?

Digital Ink is only on a Tablet PC with the correct hardware and recognizers
in place. Off a Tablet PC, you only get "handwriting" with a mouse or
writing pad which uses the same sampling rate as the mouse. Tablet PCs
sample at three or four times the mouse sampling rate.
