Using Titles in Mail Merge

Deborah

When I enter a Title in the database, I do not include
the period. In the Insert Address Block dialog box, you
choose "formatting" for the entire block, which from the
preview display, automatically adds this punctuation, as
well as the comma after the city name. However, when I
merge the data, the period after the Title is NOT
inserted. Is this a problem with the Mail Merge
programming, or is it necessary to enter the punctuation
for titles in the database?

The preview has nothing, really, to do with your actual
data. It's all hard-coded examples. So, yes, you do have to
explicitly specify any punctuation. There are titles, after
all, that do NOT end with a period :)
