I have some questions on using VC++ to programmatically control Visio:
Can a Windows Forms application developed using VC++ 2005 Express Edition be
used to programmatically control Visio 2003 (professional or standard
editions)?
Can a Forms application using VC++ under Visual Studio 2005
(professional/standard editions) be used to control Visio 2003?
Are there any restrictions here?
I already have a Forms application developed using VC++ 2005 Express
Edition. I am now looking to add certain graphical/diagramming capabilities
withotut a huge amount of programming effort. Someone suggested
(http://forums.microsoft.com/MSDN/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=715687&SiteID=1) that
I look at using Visio. But I also noticed a statement in a Microsoft document
(http://msdn.microsoft.com/office/to...s_workingwiththevisioprimaryinteropassemblies)
that "Visio 2003 SDK does not work with Microsoft Visual Studio 2005". Before
I delve too deeply into Visio, I am just trying to make sure that what I am
trying to do is possible.
I would appreciate any suggestions, pointers, explanations, etc.
Thanks!
