Using View Side by Side on dual screen display in Word 2007

Kev

I use a laptop for all my work. When working just on the laptop things are
fine. The problem I have is when I then dock the laptop in the office.

In this situation I have two displays, the laptop as the primary and a
second screen acting as a second display - ie the desktop is stretched across
the two displays. In this situation I generally doing all my editing on the
second display.

When I open a document in Word it starts up automatically on the second
display no problem. However, as soon as I select the 'View Side by Side'
option it always moves the documents to the laptop display. I then have to
manually move and resize the documents onto the second display to continue
working side by side.

As soon as I cancel side by side then the documents automatically jump back
to their original positions on the second display.

Any suggestions for getting 'View Side by Side' to work on the second display?

Many thanks,
Kev
