Using Visio 2003 Viewer with Visio 2000 Installed

Hi, I need to view some Visio 2003 files, but I only have Visio 2000. I
installed the Visio 2003 Viewer, but every time I try to open the 2003 files
through Internet Explorer, it opens my Visio 2000 program, which of course
cannot open the files.

Does anyone know how to configure IE to use the Viewer instead of my old
Visio program?

Thanks!

I suspect you are fighting with how file extensions are assigned to files.
The problem is that if you fix it in IE by reassigning file extensions your
next problem is going to be when you want to open them with visio. You might
consider having the person that is providing you with the v2003 files to
save them (saveas) a v2002 file which is funtionally the same as v2000.

Hi, never mind, I figured it out. The ReadMe covers this issue. I reinstalled
the Viewer, then opened the Visio 2003 files by dragging them onto open IE
windows (rather than going through File/Open).
