using vista outlook continually ask for my password and won't let

bought a laptop that has vista on it (pain in the ass) everytime i try to use
outlook 2000 it would require me to renenter my password. i thought it was a
glitch between outlook 2000 and vista so i bought outlook 2007 and now it
still asks for my password over and over and over again and now i can't get
my email at all.

Ol2k is not fully compatible with Vista, niether is any pre OL2003 version

Use the mail Applet to create a new profile, add a new data file, add &
check your accounts.
Once all ok, if neccessary in OL, File>Open>Data File......browse to your
origonal OL2k data File.
Then if you wish copy data from the old file to the new.
(OL2k data file has a size limitation which a unicode 2003 data file does
not)
