I have Outlook XP as part of Office XP Pro. I have a Bigpond email address
which is the primary one. Bigpond is my ISP. I also have a Yahoo! email
address. Recently I had to reinstall Windows XP and forgot that I could make
a copy of my settings.
Anyway, I need to receive email from both accounts but only wish to send
from the Yahoo account. For the Bigpond account, I have used an email
address of (e-mail address removed) , incoming mail server (POP3) and Outgoing
mail server (SMTP) both of mail.bigpond.com. For the Yahoo! account, I use
the same email address and a POP3 server pop.mail.yahoo.com.au as
recommended, but SMTP server mail.bogpond.com because I wasn't able to send
email from the recommended smtp.mail.yahoo.com.au. Why would that have been?
Is this now a suitable setup?
Thanks
