Using Windows XP , I cannot print Word documents

Since installing Windows XP, I cannot print Word
documents. I'm having no problem printing html pages and
emails, but when I try to print Word documents, they are
so faint and so imcomplete that they aren't legible at
all. I also can no longer use my HP printer's toolbox. A
message comes up saying it has been corrupted. I
downloaded the driver from the HP website, but that
didn't work.

Due to the faintness, you should probably check to make sure you haven't run out of ink.

There is a chance that it's on the printer's side: Can you print out of Notepad? If you can't, you're looking at a printer problem.
