using word file to build form

Is there a way to create a form using a ms word document
as a template? I tried and all I got was a document that
was treated like an object. Seems to me it would be
something someone has wanted to do before my need.
Any direct help of a link with info about this topic
would be greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately there is a *lot* of functionality built into an Access form,
which Word would never create or handle, since Word knows nothing about
Access ( in that sense ). The physical layout is only a tiny part of an
Access form.
