Using word in italian and generating a bibliography in english

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel Hi!
I have an italian version of word 2008 on mac and I am writing an article in english.

I want word to generate the short citation in the text (i.e. when you double-click the citation) as, for example, (Brown AND Reilly 2000) and not (Brown E Reilly 2000). Of course "e" is the italian for "and".

Is there any way to make word do what I want? Otherwise I have to search and substitute all the E with AND but it is not very...elegant! :p

Thank you all in advance

How about changing the OS X Keyboard Layout to U.S. Extended? That won't
change any that are already inserted but I believe it will work for new
ones.

I currently don't have a Mac around so I can't provide the details, but two
alternatives you could try are:
1)Set the language of the source.
2)Edit the field code for the in-text citation in your document. There
should be a \l parameter followed by a 4 digit code. That code contains the
language and culture identifier (lcid). Try changing it to 1033 for US -
English.
