Using Work table in Microsoft Project?

Hello,
My question is as follows:
When we use the work table what is the best way to handle the project
schedule:

IF we have a project schedule for one month duration and a resource is
assigned at 4 hours a week. Two weeks into the project the resource did not
complete the 8 hours of the previous two weeks do we
-push the 8 hours to the last two weeks for a total of 16 hours
or we can delete the 8 hours in the first two weeks and be left with 8 hours.
or

Anyone knows what can happen if we do

do we leave the 8 hours in the previous two weeks and 8 hours in the
forecasted two last weeks.

Thanks

Hi,

The accurate way to go is to enter the actual hours done in that period and
then update the remaining work to go and if necessary when it will be done.
This is most accurately done in the Resource Usage view with actual work
shown (right-click the yellow area and select actual work).
